This training program is designed to provide participants with experiential learning opportunities that emphasize hands-on demonstrations along with active engagement with the material presented to ECE providers. The focus of this training is on how to effectively incorporate nature into the classroom environment, creating a rich and stimulating learning atmosphere for young children. The development of this training initiative is firmly grounded in Cambourne’s Conditions of Learning Theory, which posits that immersion, demonstration, and engagement are essential components for promoting deep and meaningful understanding among learners. According to this theory, learners thrive when they have the opportunity to collaborate, actively engaging with one another to construct their own meaning and knowledge from the experiences provided. By following this theoretical framework, the training aims to equip ECE providers with the skills and insights necessary to weave natural elements into their teaching practices, ultimately enhancing the educational experience for both teachers and students alike.
