ELCHC Policy & Disclosures

1. Registration

All registrations for IECP learning events and workshops, whether self-paced, live in-person, or live virtual, must be completed online. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and seating is limited. To register for any learning event, you must create an account on our IECP Learning Management System. Walk-in/ unregistered learners will not be allowed to attend the learning event.
Please note that once you have registered for a course, you must participate in it, regardless of the language, format, or cost. No substitutions or changes will be permitted after the course registration is closed.

2. Payment

Payment, if required, can be made online at the time of registration from the community partner or the participants. Payments can be made by STRIPE and with the Training Support Specialist or through the LMS when signing up for the course. 
If a learner enrolls in a payment plan, all payments outlined in the plan must be paid in full and on time. No certificates will be issued until all payments completed, if a payment is missed, access to the course may be suspended until payment is paid. Payments made with a payment plan are NON-REFUNDABLE and are subject to verification before a Certificate of Completion is issued. Multiple discounts cannot be combined. 

3. Registration Cancellation Policy

Learners have up to three (3) days prior to a scheduled learning event to cancel their enrollment. A refund will be issued to the payment method used.  

4. Learning Event Cancellation Policy

The event sponsor or ELCHC reserves the right to cancel a learning event due to low enrollment or in the event of a facilitator emergency and a replacement cannot be found. If a session is cancelled, those registered will be contacted by email and notified of the cancellation. A refund will be issued to the payment method used. 

5. Attendance Policy

You are encouraged to log on virtually or arrive in person 5-10 minutes prior to the start time of your learning event. Participants arriving more than 15 minutes late WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE SESSION. Partial in-service credit may be offered, if applicable. Make- up sessions WILL NOT BE OFFERED for any learning event. 

*A facilitator has the right to remove a learner who is disruptive or who violates any of the disclosures listed. 

6. Anti-Discrimination Policy

The IECP shall not discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability/handicap, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or age in any aspect of a learning event, training workshop or professional development. The ELCHC also reasonably accommodates individuals with disabilities, handicaps and/or religious beliefs.

7. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Any person with a disability/ handicap requiring reasonable accommodations should call 813-515-2340 no later than seven (7) business days prior to the scheduled learning event. 

8. Learner Security Policy

The ELCHC strives to protect the privacy of learners that attend our learning events. Because each learner must register through our online learning platform, each record is restricted from public access. Learners can obtain a copy of their certifications as well as their own demographic/ contact information provided. For online support, learners may call 813-515-2340 for assistance accessing their records. Leaners are required to verify their identification at all learning events by showing a state or government issues ID with a photograph. 

9. Proprietary Interest Policy

Individuals who participate in ELCHC's learning events have the right to know about proprietary interest a trainer/ instructor may have in a product or service prior to attending. All trainers/ instructors are required to disclose proprietary interest in any product, instrument device, service and/ or materials discussed at an event training, workshop, informational session, as well as the source of any compensation related to the presentation. 

10. CEU Award Policy

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be awarded for all learning events. CEUs will be awarded upon successful completion of the learning event. To successfully complete the learning event, learners must arrive on time, attend all required sessions, be an active participant and complete all related assignments or surveys as defined by the trainer/ instructor. Online trainings must have an engagement score of 75% or more. For all live online trainings- CAMERAS MUST BE ON- NO EXCEPTIONS. Participant's names for online trainings must match the name provided at registration. Any required assignments or surveys will be outlined in the Training Description on our online platform. Learners are encouraged to contact trainers/ instructors with any questions and/or clarification needed regarding the successful completion of assignments or surveys. In-service hours will be awarded in place of CEUs if the learner does not meet the requirements of successful completion as defined by the trainer/ instructor. 
* Trainings may be recorded for internal educational purposes. 

11. Virtual Learning Participation Policy

Online training must have an engagement score of 75% or more per session. For all online training –CAMERAS MUST BE ON THE FACE OF THE LEARNER – NO EXCEPTIONS. Cameras may not be shared with other learners at the same time, unless the instructor is notified ahead of time. Participants’ names for online training must match the name provided from enrollment and documented in the online platform chat or other method as instructed by the facilitator. Any required assignments or surveys will be outlined in the Course Description on our online platform before the learning event starts. Learners are encouraged to contact trainers/ instructors with any questions and/or clarification needed regarding the successful completion of assignments or surveys.
 
* Learners must adhere to the institution's academic integrity policy. 

12. Asynchronous (Self-Paced) online learning events

Access to the course begins on the official start date or enrollment date and ends on the specified completion date. Learners are responsible for managing their time to meet all course requirements by the completion date. Learners must complete all required activities, discussion posts, assignments, quizzes, assessments and any other additional course requirements as outlined in the course description. Grades and feedback will be provided through the LMS. Learners must achieve a passing grade of 80% or higher to successfully complete the course leading to in-service or CEU certificate hours. Learners are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary technical equipment and internet access to complete the course. Academic and technical support is available to learners throughout the course by emailing learning@elchc.org.  Certificates will be available for download for the registered learners through the LMS. 

13. Academic Integrity Policy

Plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, and other forms of academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited. For live virtual learning events, learners must not share login credentials or registration links, use unauthorized aids during assessments, or misrepresent their identity. For live in person learning events, learners must not engage in unauthorized collaboration, use prohibited materials during exams and assignments, and must provide government issued photo identification. For Asynchronous learning events, learners are prohibited from the sharing of LMS content, including quizzes, exams, and course materials, with individuals not enrolled in the course. Suspected cases of academic dishonesty should be reported to learning@elchc.org.

14. Certificate of Completion

Upon the successful completion of a learning event/ training, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion that can retrieved from their individual online account. Please allow up to 2 weeks for your Certificate to become available. 

15. Childcare

All learning events/ training sessions are designed for adult audiences. We ask that all registrants make the necessary childcare arrangements. Childcare is not available. 

16. Fair Use of Intellectual Property

Material from the website may not be re-used without written permission where any of the exceptions detailed in Chapter III of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 apply.

17. Links to this Website

Those wishing to place a link to this website on other sites may do so only to the home page of the site learn.elchc.org without our prior permission. Deep linking (i.e. links to specific pages within the site) requires our express written permission.
