Learn and Grow Together Series: Who Am I? Understanding Self

In partnership with WEDU PBS Kids.
This training is segment one of the PBS KIDS Learn and Grow Together series: Understanding Self. Skill set focus during this segment includes self-awareness, self-regulation, and perseverance. Providers learn strategies to help children understand self through viewing and analyzing education materials, learning and practicing new strategies, collaborating with peer educators, self-reflection, and engaging discussions. Providers will gain access to resources through free educator and parent websites to share with families.
PLUS, we are offering a $245 Achievement Bonus available to Hillsborough County educators upon completion of the training! (Must attend all 3 session dates, Pass Post Test and be a Contracted Site) *Subject to availability of funds*

Course Outcomes

You will be able to identify and define three important early childhood developmental skills related to developing self.
You will locate and navigate the Learn and Grow Together educator and parent sites to choose classroom materials that align with a specific developmental skill related to developing self.
Using PBS digital resources, you will construct an age-appropriate curriculum for students to develop skills related to developing self.
You will share the Learn and Grow Together Parent site for understanding self with families as they teach concurrent skills at school and explain how children can further develop these skills at home.
