About this Course

Beginning July 1, 2026, all Preschool and VPK CLASS Observations in Hillsborough County will use the CLASS® Pre-K–Third 2nd Edition tool. Interaction Essentials for Educators is the companion training designed to help preschool teachers understand and apply the Pre-K CLASS® 2nd Edition framework with confidence. Developed by Teachstone, this 24-hour virtual series offers practical strategies, engaging content, peer discussion, and expert facilitator feedback to strengthen effective teacher-child interactions. Whether new to the field or an experienced educator, participants will gain tools they can immediately use to support high-quality classroom practice and program success.

Earn your TeachStone Certificate

Log in before the start time, you will not be able to join after 6:45PM.
Learners must pick up prior to the start date their Interaction Essentials for Educators learning kit materials and use them at every session.
Teachstone will not award CEUs if any of the 3 “Build Connections” extended 40-minute sessions are missed; learners must attend all 3 in their entirety. 
Complete the Post Learning Event Survey within 3 days after the last session is concluded.

Identify and evaluate interactions that build connections, support engagement, and inspire learning.

Define the core skills children need to thrive and discuss how they align with the 10 Dimensions of the Pre-K CLASS Tool. 

Distinguish the effectiveness of interactions based on child responses.

Construct a plan for enhancing the intentionality and effectiveness of future interaction habits.
