Beatriz Aponte-Gonzalez has over 25 years of experience supporting families and children through early intervention and education services. She began her career at Champions for Children (formerly the Child Abuse Council) as a Case Manager and went on to serve as a Parent Educator with the Parents as Teachers Program and a Child Development Specialist at Baby Bungalow. She also became the first specialist to conduct developmental screenings (ASQ’s) at the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers and is a certified Touchpoints Trainer with the Brazelton Touchpoints Center in Boston, MA. Today, Beatriz serves as an Early Intervention Specialist at the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County. In her role, she partners with families, childcare providers, and community agencies to monitor developmental progress of the children on the School Readiness Program, provides training, technical assistance, and connects children to the resources they need to thrive. Beatriz and her husband have 2 adult children and a dog. She loves serving the community at her church, travel and discover new places, savor good food and going to the beach.
