Growing Up WILD!

In partnership with the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies get ready for an exciting new nature-based early childhood program from the Council for Environmental Education and Project WILD.
Discover the joy of nature with this multi-award-winning curriculum that sparks children's curiosity about the world around them! It warmly invites young explorers to delve into wildlife and their natural surroundings. Through developmentally appropriate practices, this program beautifully encompasses the five major domains, encouraging learning through a delightful array of nature-based hands-on activities and experiences. Growing Up WILD lays the groundwork for children to form positive impressions about the natural world while cultivating essential social and academic skills for a lifetime of exploration and growth.

Course Outcomes

Participants will identify activities to include nature in the classroom that support developmentally appropriate learning for all children.
Participants will create opportunities for children to apply knowledge to solve problems related to wildlife conservation and management.
Participants will understand how nature-based activities influences children to have a greater knowledge of how wildlife conservation and management relates to the economy and environment, both currently and in the future.
