Theon Salley
Theon has worked in the early childhood field since 1993 where she held positions as a State Certified Early Interventionist in South Carolina. She was a Preschool Teacher at United Cerebral Palsy of Tampa Bay and Early Childhood Training Specialist at Nova Southeastern University until being hired at the ELCHC in 2012. After she started with the ELC Theon became a certified CLASS observer in the Infant, Toddler and Preschool tools. She is a Brazelton Touchpoints trainer, certified trainer for Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos. Theon is a certified Safe Baby trainer the trainer as well as an Infant & Toddler CLASS affiliate trainer. She has a level one Trauma & Resilience certification from FSU and if certified in DEI in the workplace from USF. Theon is a train the trainer for 10 Component of Quality Care for Infants & toddlers and coach/assessor. She is a member of the FSU's 10 Components Project State and the ELCHC's Leadership Team. Currently, Theon is the Infant Toddler Coordinator and ELCHC representative on the DEL Infant/Toddler Network. She is the lead for the Hillsborough Infant and Toddler Initiative (HITI) which provides additional coaching and resources to classrooms with infants and toddlers
