Stephanie Candelaria

Stephanie has worked in the Early Education field since 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Ana G. Mendez, San Juan P.R. Stephanie first teaching position was as a tutor in a public school in Puerto Rico. From there she moved to the United States and continue working in early education as a floater, toddler and VPK assistant teacher then move her way up and became an assistant/Director at the Learning Care group (La Petite Academy). Stephanie moved to Polk County in 2022 and has been affiliated with the ELCHC ever since; in 2023 she became an ‘official’ employee of the ELC.
Stephanie is passionate about providing all children with optimal early learning experiences that in turn produce optimal outcomes for their future, and now uses her teaching skills with adult learners. By supporting early childhood educators in their professional development and work with children, she can have an impact on helping teachers do their best which in turn allows children to do their best. Over the years Stephanie has become certified as a Lastinger Coach, Community of Practice (CoP), Technical Assistance, CLASS Observations, as well as training.
Though now living in Florida, Stephanie still can enjoy the beach and that’s one of the things she loves the most and misses from Puerto Rico and has two dogs and two cats; she also enjoys reading.
