Norman de Jesus de Jesus
Norman has worked in education for over 24 years, starting as an Infant / Toddler Teacher in an Early Head Start Program in Puerto Rico. Then, he worked as Preschool Teacher in a Migrant Head Start in Georgia, and as Early Support Specialist for Migrant Head Start Projects in Florida. Also, he was a Center Director in a private Childcare Center in Tampa. He holds a PhD in Leadership and Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, and a masterâs in child psychology from Tech University of Spain. Norman holds his Advanced Director Credential for the state of Florida. After he joined the ELCHC he became a certified CLASS observer in the Infant, Toddler and Preschool tools. He is certified in Community of Practices, a Flamingo coach, a Master Facilitator for Virtual Learning, a MMCI trainer for Preschool age and he is a train the trainer for 10 Components of Quality Care for Infants and Toddlers as well as a coach.
He is passionate about professional development and supports early childhood educators to provide equitable and inclusive learning experiences for young children. Norman enjoys spending time with his family and reading books. He likes to write too; he has several published children's books.
