Nathalie Laguela
Nathalie has worked in education for over 20 years, starting as Floater/Assistant Teacher in an early Childhood Center. She holds a Bachelor in Spanish & Lit from University of South Florida. (Teacher Certification K-12), Nathalie spent years as a Middle School Spanish Teacher with the School District.
Nathalie, holds a certification for ASQ and ASQ-3 Social/Emotional and spent 3 years working alongside Social workers providing resources for teachers and parents.
For the past 8 years employed at the ELC, Nathalie has had the opportunity to be part of all the changes/transitions within the organization. Always advocating for the Professional Development targeting the Hispanic Community by developing and offering translation during ELC trainings/meetings!
Nathalie had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the University of Florida Lastinger Center as a Coach on the HELN Initiative for 3 consecutive years, forming long lasting relationships with FCCH and Center Directors/Teachers, presenting alongside UF at the BUILD Conference.
Recently, Nathalie received the Emergent Literacy Coach Specialization from the University of Florida and obtained the NAFCC Quality Ambassador and NAFCC Accreditation Train-the-Trainer certification from the National Association of Family Childcare.
She is passionate about supporting Early Childhood Educators providing equitable and inclusive learning experiences for young children. With a special focus on the Hispanic Community, FCCH and Infant/Toddlers.
