Martha Aguiar

Martha’s career has been dedicated to supporting young children, families, and early childhood professionals. She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood development and began her career in 1983 as a two-year-old teacher while attending college. Since then, she has served as a teacher, assistant director, and director, earning her Advanced Level Director’s Credential along the way.
Martha currently serves as the Workforce Coordinator at the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC), where she brings more than four decades of experience in teaching, leadership, coaching, training, and technical assistance. She is a Flamingo Coach, Community of Practice Facilitator, Lastinger Early Childhood Technical Assistance Coach, Teaching Strategies Gold trainer, and Master Facilitator for virtual training through Insync.

In her current role, Martha supports initiatives focused on workforce development, leadership, quality improvement, business coaching, and professional development, including the Director’s Community of Practice, Workforce Initiatives, the United Way Quality Childcare Initiative, Business and Accreditation Coaching. She is also an ambassador for the TEACH scholarship program.
Martha is passionate about creating opportunities for early childhood professionals to learn, grow, and build confidence. She values genuine relationships and strives to create a supportive environment where educators and leaders feel valued, empowered, and comfortable bringing their questions, ideas, and concerns. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside professionals who are making a difference in the lives of children and families.
